Founded in 1980 as an asphalt paving contractor, OHL Community Asphalt, based in Miami, with asphalt plants in Fort Myers, Hialeah, West Palm Beach and Vero Beach, has since become specialized in general road construction and transportation infrastructure. From its various offices the company boasts extensive geographic coverage throughout South Florida, focusing on all aspects of transportation infrastructure development, primarily for state and local authorities, but also for private clients developing parking lots and industrial and retail complexes, among others.
OHL Community Asphalt provides traditional paving services which include grading and paving, pavement milling, surveying, excavation, on- and off-road hauling, drainage, utilities, base finishing, and highway sweeping. The company also provides other types of transportation projects such as complex highway interchanges, railways works, airport runways, etc. It is capable of delivering such projects under design-build, design-build-finance or more complex public-private partnership (PPP) contracts.

OHL Building comprises the former companies: The Tower Group, Stride Contractors, and Betancourt Castellon Associates which were acquired by OHL USA. These acquisitions began in 2008 with the Tower Group and Stride Contractors in 2009, a team who has continued providing construction management services as a General Contractor under the name OHL Building.
Notable projects include the Florida Turnpike Design-Build Service Plazas and the AirportLink /Orange Line Project in Miami, Florida.
OHL Building was formed in 2009 following OHL USA’s acquisitions of two reputable Florida contracting companies – the Tower Group and Stride Contractors. In 2010, the firm expanded with the purchase of Betancourt Castellon Associates, another well-established contractor. OHL Building combines the staff and expertise of these companies to build vertical construction projects for public clients including the Miami-Dade Public Schools (the largest district in the country) and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, among many others. To date, OHL Building has delivered 27, cost-effective, quality construction projects in excess of $330 million.
